Kinabatangan River Kinabatangan River is the longest river in Sarawak, consisting of a 563 km north-easterly journey from its source to the Sulu Sea. Well worth a visiting at various points along the route where you can see limestone caves, freshwater swamp forest, the reverie forest, mangrove swamps and oxbow lakes.
Sipadan Island Sipadan Island is among the top five dive sites in the world, and boasts to be a fine place for all forms of sea life. Sipadan is actually an oceanic island and was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct undersea volcano. Sipadan Island is home to the green and hawksbill turtles where they mate and nest upon the beaches.

Semporna Semporna is an excellent place for scuba diving and for snorkeling. The month of April sees the traditional boat race known as the Regatta. Bajau peoples are the indigenous tribe and they live in sprawling stilt villages which tend to be quite far from towns. Their main source of income interestingly enough is from pearl culturing.
